Join us for a special virtual evening celebrating the launch of At Sea, the highly anticipated new literary novel by Yassmin Abdel-Magied.

Facilitated by Naima Ibrahim, this intimate online conversation will explore the themes and inspirations behind At Sea, including identity, belonging, memory, displacement and the stories that shape us across borders and generations.

Known for her thoughtful and courageous voice across literature, media and advocacy, Yassmin is the author of several acclaimed works including Talking About a Revolution, You Must Be Layla and Listen, Layla. Her work continues to engage deeply with questions of justice, culture, faith and community. 

Naima Ibrahim is a writer, educator and community advocate whose work engages deeply with storytelling, identity and social impact. Through her writing and facilitation, she creates thoughtful spaces for conversation, reflection and connection across communities.

This event offers readers an opportunity to hear directly from Yassmin about her newest work, the writing process behind the novel and the power of storytelling in navigating personal and collective histories. The session will include a live in conversation segment followed by audience Q&A.
